Westchester Jewish Community Services:
“How wonderful that no one need wait a single moment to improve the world.” Anne Frank
WJCS empowers every volunteer to reach his or her caring potential by providing them with opportunities to share time and skills with our clients. Flexible, meaningful opportunities are available in many WJCS programs to help others, assist with office functions or share talents and skills. Volunteers may mentor or tutor a child, visit in our group homes for the developmentally disabled or assist with clerical work.

Projects can be ongoing or occasional and can be arranged for individuals or groups. Each volunteer is interviewed and placed according to one’s special interests and skills. Local organizations and synagogues also participate in community service projects at WJCS sites. A volunteer recognition event acknowledges the many dedicated people who contribute so meaningfully to WJCS.
